In the third Twenty20 Ind vs Ban 2024 match, Indian women won the series by defeating host Bangladesh by a margin of seven wickets.
India completed a hat-trick of victories in the five-match series by chasing down the target of 118 runs in 18.3 overs with three wickets remaining, while Bangladesh managed to score 117 runs for the loss of eight wickets.
India played an important role in fielding along with its excellent batting and bowling. Three run-outs happen for Bangladesh; Renuka Singh, Pooja, and Ranka Patil each claimed one wicket, and Radha Yadav claimed two. Dilara Akhtar opened the scoring for Bangladesh with 39 runs, while captain Nigar Sultana added 28 runs.
Shafali Verma and Smriti Mandhana got off to a strong start when chasing the target, scoring 91 runs in 12.1 overs. Mandhana scored 47 runs off 42 balls (5 fours, 1 six), while Shafali scored 51 runs off 38 balls (8 fours). Shafali Verma received the Player of the Match accolade.
