AC Milan to second place in Serie A, edging closer to title contention amidst a gripping race.
Rome 20 March AC Milan released their daily squad amid a tight race for the Serie A title performing much better than expected and winning their eighth match in a row, beating Cagliari 1-0. This goal for AC Milan came in the 59th minute of the match and was scored by Ismael Bennacer with the help of Olivier Gaccroud. Cagliari had a good chance to come back in the 90th minute of the match but Leonardo’s attempt hit the goalpost and went in vain.

With this win, AC has reached the second position in the table with 66 points in 30 matches. With this, their lead over the defending champions Nepalese has increased to 3 points. Nepalese managed to beat Udinese 2-1 after trailing by one goal.
